Surface is a thought experiment that looks at the thin separation of internal peace and chaos of our minds.
This photograph by multi-media artist Petra S Axelsson explores the water’s surface as a threshold between internal emotion and the external world. Suspended beneath a rain-fractured mirror, the submerged body inhabits a state of total surrender, sheltered from the storm above while dissolved within it.
Her work focuses on enhancing the human experience by connecting people to nature, creating spaces for self-expression and neuroaesthetics.
