Holli McEntegart is a social practice artist and doula whose work weaves together art, motherhood, and daily life. Anchored by the intimacy of the kitchen table, her studio methodology centers on quiet moments and domestic rituals. Inspired by her artist mother, Mandy Thomsett-Taylor, McEntegart views making as an essential way of taking up space. Through her ongoing initiative, the Inhabit Project, she integrates mothering directly into her creative practice, treating maternal care as a foundational artistic material.

Viewing te taiao (the natural environment) as a vital mirror and collaborator, McEntegart shapes her practice around fluid rhythms, aligning her identity with the adaptive nature of wai (water). Drawing inspiration from artist Deborah Smith's integration of grief and community advocacy, McEntegart constructs work that resists rigid metrics of productivity. As a solo mother of two, she creates accessible, relational spaces that honor care, vulnerability, and the shared human experience.
