About the Exhibition

SOLSTICE group exhibition is an intentional celebration of warmth, illumination, and human connection during the darkest month of the year. Bringing together a handpicked collective of local and regional artists from Waiheke Island, across New Zealand, and Australia, this exhibition explores the intimate interplay between shadow, form, and radiance.

Featuring an exquisite collection of handmade candles, bespoke candle holders, lamps, and lighting installations, the gallery becomes a sanctuary of collective warmth. Throughout the month of July, Lume will host a series of events designed to bring us together, alongside our regular weekly hours every Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 5 pm (or by appointment).

The exhibition culminates in a Celebration Evening on Friday, 31 July. We are opening our doors wide alongside our neighbours for a night of community connection, warmth, and shared light.
