Amy Potenger is a Tāmaki Makaurau-based artist whose work explores the friction between digital logic and the physical act of making. Her practice is characterised by a "scraps on scraps" methodology, often described as an "obsolete screen-based information service" that bridges the gap between digital experimentation and analogue painting through a deeply iterative process; she frequently cuts up past paintings to embed them into new works, creating a sense of "compost bin" complexity where physical materials and digital expectations constantly drift and overlap
